Northrop Grumman wins $23M order for software sutainment of Hawkeye aircraft

Northrop Grumman has won a delivery order to provide software sustainment support of the E-AD Advanced Hawkeye aircraft, including software management and life cycle support.

Northrop Grumman has won a $23 million firm-fixed-price delivery order against a previously issued basic order agreement with the U.S. Navy for software sustainment support of the E-AD Advanced Hawkeye aircraft.

Under the delivery order, the company will provide full rate production lot 1 software sustainment.

The delivery order covers software management support, including the update and maintenance through the life cycle support and to all the software elements of the weapon system, subsystem and support element levels of the aircraft software, the Defense Department said.

Work is to be performed in Bethpage, N.Y.; Syracuse, N.Y.; Marlborough, Mass.; Greenlawn, N.Y.; and in Woodland Hills, Calif., and is expected to be completed in October 2014.

Funding in the full amount of the contract will be obligated at the time of the award, of which $14.5 million will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
