Best Defense Deal

Lake Capital: Whitney, Bradley and Brown: Not available Feb. 22 This deal did double duty because it is an acquisition and a true merger. The private equity firm Lake Capital acquired Whitney, Bradley and Brown and then merged it with another company it owned, NetStar-1. The combination creates a new midsize player in the defense market with more than $130 million in revenue and 500 employees. It also provides program management and business transformation services to the Homeland Security and Justice departments and several defense contractors.: KippsDeSanto
