Artel expands leadership team with four executive hires

Artel LLC has named four new executives to its leadership team to in areas covering business development, communications, systems integration and network operations.

Artel LLC has named four new executives to its leadership team, brining in business development, communications, systems integration and network operations expertise.

Jackie Berger has been named vice president of communications and marketing, where she will be responsible for the communications and marketing strategies integral to the company’s growth, Artel said. She was formerly director of marketing and communications at Harris Corp., where she worked with Artel CEO Ted Hengst.

William E. Cleghorn has been named vice president of solutions integration and information assurance services, where he will be responsible for all aspects of this key business segment, delivering operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and other aspects. He was formerly vice president of the defense sector engineering group at STG Inc.

Gregory A. Garrett has been named vice president of managed network services, where he will be responsible for leading the integration of the company’s network operations and managed network services organizations into a single business unit. He was formerly president and COO of AST LLC.

Steve Johnson has been named vice president, business development, where he will be responsible for leading the company’s front-end capture activities, including business development, customer intimacy, opportunity identification, and other activities, the company said. He was formerly director, U.S. government business development and sales at Globecomm Systems Inc.
