PSC merges with international development group

The Coalition of International Development Companies and the Professional Services Council have merged, aligning with PSC’s International Development Task Force, or IDTF, to provide a unified voice for international development firms.

The new PSC committee will be called the Council of International Development Companies.

It will integrate the coalition’s dialogue with federal agencies, as well as its thought leadership with IDTF’s core functions of advocating on contracting, regulatory, legislative and other business issues in international development, PSC said in a release.

“PSC and the Executive Committee of the CIDC decided to fully integrate the CIDC into the PSC structure because both felt it is the best way to increase the impact of our voice on government policy,” said Stan Soloway, PSC president and CEO.

“The goals of the two organizations align well and the consolidation under the PSC umbrella will allow us to capture efficiencies and synergies and build a dynamic, sustainable advocacy platform for development companies that will be stronger than the sum of its parts,” he said.
