Cubic Corp. wins $300M in Navy training work
Cubic Corp. has won three task order contracts to develop courseware for littoral combat ship training.
Cubic Corp.’s Simulation Systems Division has won three five-year task order contracts totaling $298.5 million to develop instructor-led and instructor facilitated self-paced courseware for littoral combat ship training.
The contracts were awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division.
The courseware is in support of the Littoral Combat Ship Train to Quality and Train to Certify shore-based training requirements for both variants of the littoral combat ship, and for the mission packages used on both ships, the company said in a release.
This program represents a strategic partnership between the military, government and industry, and will result in the creation of jobs for veterans, engineers, and new graduates of science, technology, engineering and mathematics programs, Cubic said.
The company’s simulation systems division will partner with Cubic Mission Support Services, as well as a team comprised of Austal USA, Alion Science and Technology, Sonalysts Inc., Aptima Inc., Cybernet Systems Corp., Realtime Immersive Inc.
Also on Cubic’s team are a number of small and economically disadvantaged businesses who will deliver the interactive courseware products, Cubic said.
