TeleCommunication Systems tapped to keep Army satellites up and running
TeleCommunication Systems has won a contract with the Army to provide a number of systems in support of the SNAP VSAT satellite systems equipment.
TeleCommunication Systems has won a $3.4 million contract for a number of services for satellite systems equipment that the Army uses.
The satellite systems are the Secure Internet Protocol Router and Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Access Point Very Small Aperture Terminal, or SNAP VSAT.
This project is being funded by the Army’s $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems contract vehicle, TCS said in a release.
Services to be provided are equipment, field services support and maintenance of the satellite systems.
The systems themselves provide multimedia communications capabilities which convey encrypted voice, video and data, TCS said.
