14 small businesses tapped for $98.7M C5ISR contract

14 small businesses will compete for taks orders to provide C5ISR services to the Navy, worldwide.

14 small businesses have won a $98.7 million task order contract with the U.S. Navy for worldwide command and control services.

Each contractor is being awarded $10,000 on the award. Its one-year base is worth $19.7 million, with work concluding in November 2013.

This cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based contract has provisions for fixed-price-incentive and firm-fixed-price orders. If exercised, options will raise the contract’s ceiling to the full $98.7 million, and will extend its period of performance to November 2017.

  • Technical and Project Engineering (TAPE)

Nineteen proposals were submitted, according to a Defense Department announcement.

The contractors will compete for task orders to provide command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance electronics and communications services and solutions to support mission capabilities within cyber intelligence and information operations mission areas, the announcement said.

Contract funds will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.
