GDIT wins $94M command and control contract
General Dynamics Information Technology will deliver new tech, logistics and program management for Marine Corps C4ISR systems.
The U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command has awarded General Dynamics Information Technology a $94 million task order under the Total Integrated Ground Equipment Readiness Contractor Logistics Support contract.
Under the contract, the business unit will deliver new technology, logistics and program management support for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
“C4ISR systems are a critical piece of the U.S. Marine Corps intelligence program and global security as a whole,” said Tom Kirchmaier, senior vice president and general manager of GDIT's Intelligence Solutions division.
The goal is to help the Marines reduce long-term costs and deliver secure and reliable communications and IT to its various organizations, he said.
Work is to be performed at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan; Camp Pendleton, Calif.; Camp Lejeune, N.C.; Okinawa, Japan; Dam Neck, Va.; Tampa, Fla.; Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; Stafford, Va.; and Bahrain.
