Telecommunications User Services and Information Technology Support Services has the company providing a great number of services to the NOAA.

Systems Integration and Development has won two contracts totaling $23 million to provide telecommunications and IT services to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

One of the contracts is the Telecommunications User Services contract, worth $2.6 million, which will support the telecommunications division of NOAA's CIO office. The division oversees the telecommunications ordering, provisioning and invoice processing for NOAA and its offices.

Under the contract, the company will provide IT, telecommunications and user support services to the administration and its line offices, the company said.

The other contract is the Information Technology Support Services contract, worth $20.4 million, at the administration’s National Ocean Service. Under this contract, the company will provide IT support services to the National Ocean Service’s CIO and information management division, which directs a number of IT initiatives.

Some of the initiatives include policy, planning and architecture; information technology security planning and operations; and network engineering.

Of this contract, Ajay Agrawal, president of Systems Integration and Development said that his company is “very cognizant that [the National Ocean Service] is our ocean and coastal agency, working to assure the health and viability of our national coasts, which are intricately connected to the health of the U.S. economy.”

Both contracts were competed via the administration’s NOAALink small business vehicle, which the company said is a ten-year, $2.5 billion program to provide the agency with information technology solutions from selected small businesses.
