Serco wins $73M contract to upgrade command and control systems
Serco will work on-site in Afghanistan, Kuwait and Qatar on mine resistant protected vehicles.
Serco Inc. has won a $73 million contract with the Defense Department joint program office.
The contract spans a fifteen-month period, with a nine-month base period and a six-month option period.
Under the terms of the contract, Serco will upgrade command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems on mine resistant ambush protected vehicles.
The company will also provide sustainment and maintenance support services.
Serco will be upgrading C4ISR systems on-site in Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Qatar. MRAP vehicles being upgraded belong to the U.S. Air Force, Army, Marine Corp and Navy.
