Northrop revamps executive suite

Meet the new leaders of Northrop Grumman's major lines of business as the company launches a broad succession plan.

Northrop Grumman is putting in place a major overhaul of its executive ranks, but all the leadership changes are being filled by internal candidates.

The promotions and shifts in personnel were kicked off by the retirements of Gary Ervin, corporate vice president and president of aerospace systems, and James Pitts, corporate vice president and president of electronic systems.

Ervin retires effective Feb. 28, 2013, and Pitts retires Dec. 31, 2012.

Linda Mills, corporate vice president and president of information systems sector, has been tapped for a new role as corporate vice president of operations. She’ll take on that position on Jan. 1.

Kathy J. Warden will replace Mills. She is currently the vice president and general manager of cyber intelligence division within the information systems sector.

Replacing Ervin as the leader of the aerospace sector is Thomas Vice, current corporate vice president and president of the technical services sector.

Christopher Jones will replace Vice as the leader of the technical services sector. Jones is currently the vice president and general manager of the integrated logistics and modernization division inside the technical services sector.

Gloria Flach will become corporate vice president and president of the electronic systems sector. She currently is the corporate vice president and president of enterprise shared services.

Mark A. Caylor will become corporate vice president and president of Enterprise Shared Services. He currently serves as corporate vice president and treasurer.

Prabu Natarajan was named corporate vice president and treasurer. He will continue as vice president of tax.

All of these changes take effect Jan. 1.

The only promotion that takes immediate effect is the promotion of David Perry as corporate vice president and chief global business development officer. He previously served as vice president and general manager of the naval and marine systems division of the electronic systems division.
