Lockheed wins $495M Justice contract for range of IT services
The contractor will provide a full platform of IT and data solutions to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Lockheed Martin Corp. will supply managed IT services and secure technology solutions to the Justice Department under a seven-year prime contract with a ceiling value of $496 million, according to a company announcement today.
The Enterprise Standard Architecture IV (ESA IV) contract calls for Lockheed Martin to service Justice’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Marshals Service, the May 29 announcement said.
The contractor will provide IT and data solutions that includes hardware and software acquisition; desktop PC maintenance and support; application server management; overall system security; help desk services; disaster recovery planning and preparation; data center and new technology insertion initially for 15,000 ATF/Marshall Service personnel; and data centers at multiple locations.
Lockheed Martin also will deliver essential cloud, mobility and data center consolidation solutions, meeting vital government mandates to provide affordability and efficiencies across all government agencies.
Awarded under the General Services Administration Alliant governmentwide acquisition contract vehicle, the ESA IV contract has the potential to expand into other agencies within the contracting vehicle.
The contract, which will be implemented by the IT and security solutions business unit within Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Services-civil division, will be managed from the Washington, D.C., area, the announcement added.
