SRA adds noted cyber security expert as executive adviser

Richard A. Clarke has spent three decades at the highest government levels including the Defense and State departments and 11 years with the White House.

SRA International has named well-known security expert Richard A. Clarke the company’s executive adviser for cyber security and counterterrorism.

Clarke has been a key player on the international stage in both the national security and counterterrorism arenas.

For the past three decades, he has worked in the highest government levels in posts at the Defense and State departments, in addition to an unprecedented 11 years of continuous service to the White House.

His experience provides unparalleled insight into the security challenges facing the federal government today, the April 25 SRA announcement said. 

“His insights will be a key asset for SRA clients and further strengthen our cyber security and counterterrorism offerings,” SRA President and CEO Bill Ballhaus said in the announcement.

Clarke is chairman of Good Harbor Consulting, and the author of five books, including Against All Enemies: Inside America’s War on Terror and CYBER WAR: The Next Threat to National Security and What to Do about It.

An on-air consultant for ABC News, Clarke also has taught at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

SRA International Inc., of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 29 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
