What are the biggest mobile computing opportunities?

As we researched the 15 contract opportunities in our slideshow, it quickly became obvious that the ubiquitousness of mobile computing was more than just hype. It really is everywhere or is about to be.

That’s why on the face of it, these contracts, which we identified using Deltek's database, may seem like an eclectic bunch. You have some broad IT product and services task order contracts such as Chief Information Officer New from the National Institutes of Health and the Army’s Information Technology Enterprise Solutions 3-Hardware. It is hard to imagine that mobile computing technologies in their various forms won’t be hot sellers on vehicles such as these.

You also have the Housing Inspection Services contract from the Federal Emergency Management Administration. This contract will run on mobile technologies as inspectors push into disaster zones collecting information and dispensing aid and benefits.

Obviously, this list isn’t comprehensive, but it is a good starting point for understanding the vehicles and the prime contractors delivering critical mobile computing solutions to the government.
