ManTech reportedly sued by small biz over contract breach

System High Corp. claims the large contractor unfairly terminated subcontracts as retaliation.

ManTech International Corp. is being sued for breach of contract by System High Corp., a veteran-owned, small business that provides security consulting services, reports the Washington Business Journal.

According to the complaint filed with U.S. District Court for Eastern Virginia, ManTech allegedly halted partner agreements with Systems High as "retribution" when the small business did not select ManTech as a subcontractor on a large defense contract, the Journal said.

Allegedly, ManTech then went on to solicit System High's workers for jobs, according to the article.

System High, of Chantilly, Va., said it won the security support contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency on Oct. 20, 2011.

ManTech has until March 20 to respond to the filing.

ManTech International Corp., of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
