Amazon lands former White House official
Former White House official Frank DiGiammarino has joined Amazon Web Services and will be working with public-sector customers.
At the White House, DiGiammarino was an advisor to the vice president on the implementation of The Recovery Act. Before his 2-1/2-year stint at the White House, DiGiammarino was vice president of strategic initiatives at the National Academy of Public Administration and a director at the Touchstone Consulting Group.
At Amazon, his title will be director of the global public sector, according to his LinkedIn profile. The public-sector group is overseen by Teresa Carlson, who Amazon hired away from Microsoft in late 2010.
The news of DiGiammarino’s hiring by Amazon was first reported by the DorobekInsider.
