Former Stanley exec named president of ECS
Electronic Consulting Services Inc. named George Wilson as its president, promoting him from the position of executive vice president and chief strategy officer.
Wilson was part of the management team that built Stanley Associates into a nearly $1 billion a year enterprise before it was acquired by CGI Group in 2010.
He joined ECS in February 2011 and since then the company has completed two acquisitions, added 40 new customers and 320 employees.
“I have personally and professionally known George for over 15 years and am very pleased to provide this opportunity to both George and to ECS,” said Roy Kapani, ECS’s owner, founder and CEO, in a statement. “His experience, knowledge, and leadership will help drive ECS to the next level and help us reach our strategic milestones for growth, quality, customer satisfaction, and employee development,” he added.
In addition to the acquisitions and new customers, the company also has added new capabilities in areas such as marine science and engineering, naval architecture, financial program management, cost estimating and analysis, and mission/policy analysis. The company also closed on a $50 million credit facility.
