PSI's $96M Military Health System contract covers code updates

Planned Systems International Inc. has won a five-year, $96 million contract to provide code maintenance services for the Defense Department’s Military Health System.

The award covers updating, enhancement, repair and testing of a variety of MHS applications that are managed by the Defense Health Services System (DHSS) Program Executive Office, the company announced Jan. 12.

Under this contract, PSI will provide systems analysis, code maintenance and administration.

The contractor will use established IT Infrastructure Library-based processes and methodologies also to provide programming of maintenance and enhancement requirements, change control, documentation, information assurance and security activities to the DHSS applications.

As part of the Tricare Management Activity in Falls Church, Va., the DHSS Program Executive Office provides the MHS with clinical, logistics, resource management and decision support applications that support warfighter readiness and optimize the delivery of health care to DOD service members, retirees and their dependents.

PSI has been a provider of IT solutions and services to federal government and private sector organizations since 1988.

The company’s principal offices are in Arlington, Va., with facilities in Columbia, Md., San Antonio, Texas, Warrenton, Va., St. Petersburg, Fla. and Washington, D.C.
