SRA wins $60M award for NIH support services

SRA International Inc. has won a five-year, $60 million contract to provide a range of IT services to the National Institutes of Health.

According to a Jan. 6 company announcement, SRA will provide support to the Division of Customer Support Program Management and related activities, including a full range of NIH IT service desk, training and desktop support.

SRA also will provide desktop support, IT training and training resources to the NIH Institutes centers and other designated customers of the Health and Human Services Department.

The National Institutes of Health IT Customer Service Portfolio contract was awarded by the National Library of Medicine on behalf of the Center for Information Technology.

“Because of this program, SRA will employ nearly 100 positions in the state of Maryland with work conducted at NIH headquarters,” said SRA Health Group Senior Vice President Paul Nedzbala in the announcement.

SRA International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 29 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
