TASC wins $134M NASA software services award
TASC Inc. has won a five-year NASA contract to provide highly specialized system software services. The cost-plus-award-fee contract has a potential value of $133.9 million.
Under the contract, the Chantilly, Va., government contractor and its partners will provide independent verification and validation, software assurance, research and development and technical quality monitoring, according to the company announcement.
To meet the program objectives, TASC has assembled a team of 15 partners: Azimuth Inc., GB Tech Inc., J&P Technologies, KeyLogic Systems, Metters Inc., Millennium Engineering and Integration Co., Mountain State Information Systems Inc., MPL Corp., New-Bold Enterprises Inc., Oakwood University, Science Applications International Corp., Strategic Resolution Experts Inc., Syneren Technologies Corp., West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation and West Virginia University Research Corp.
The work is being performed primarily in Fairmont, W.Va., and Houston.
Since 2005, TASC has provided verification and validation software engineering for a variety of complex NASA projects such as instrument flight software, launch vehicles, navigation systems and ground system legacy integration, the announcement added.
