Citizant adds veteran BD exec, third this week

In what seems like a mini trend this week, another federal contractor has hired a business development professional to bolster sales and improve the bottom line.

Citizant, a provider of business transformation and information-sharing solutions for national security and federal law enforcement agencies, today named Van Kirstein director of business development.

Kirstein, who has 14 years of experience supporting federal, state and local government IT programs, will be responsible for generating Citizant’s growth throughout the Homeland Security Department, a Dec.1 announcement said.

Kirstein, who has a BS degree in Management Information Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, spent five years at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services as the DHS sales team lead. He previously held management positions at Pearson Government Solutions, Sapient Corp. and Impact Innovation Group LLC.

On Wednesday, SRA International Inc. hired ousted Science Applications International Corp. executive Deborah Alderson as executive vice president for strategic development.

One day earlier, CACI International Inc. named Krisstie Kondrotis executive vice president of business development.
