Boeing iPhone app pilots a UAV

Boeing and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have created an iPhone app that they used to pilot an unmanned aerial vehicle, InformationWeek reported.

A researcher at Boeing’s office in Seattle flew the plane on MIT’s Cambridge, Mass., campus, the article said.

Boeing has invested heavily in UAV technologies and is working with partners and academia on how to make the devices better and easier to control.
