CACI e-business buy expands its federal Oracle offerings

CACI International's presence in the business and government transformation arenas will grow with the acquisition of Advanced Programs Group LLC, an Oracle Platinum Partner and provider of Oracle e-Business services in the federal market.

In a move designed to expand CACI International’s presence in the business and government transformation arenas, the company is purchasing Advanced Programs Group LLC, an Oracle Platinum Partner and provider of Oracle e-Business services in the federal market.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not reported in CACI's Sept. 23 announcement.

Services offered by the company, based in Reston, Va., include Oracle e-Business Suite implementations, IT program management, enterprise architecture, and security services.

APG manages the entire life cycle of an Oracle implementation — including the design, configuration, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement phases, which help federal agencies make good spending decisions.

Founded in 2004, APG has contract vehicles with several key civilian and Defense Department clients, including the National Institutes of Health and the Interior Department’s National Business Center.

APG’s revenue in calendar year 2010 was $41.9 million.

“Our acquisition of Advanced Programs Group makes CACI one of the largest federal Oracle providers and the only Federal Shared Service Provider in both the financial and contract life cycle management business areas,” Paul Cofoni, CACI president and CEO said in the announcement.

The acquisition closing is anticipated by Oct. 1.

CACI International, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 14 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
