Harris gets first T4 task order to enhance 6 VA legacy systems

Team will upgrade systems in VA’s Veterans Health Administration

Harris Corp. has won a $9.6 million contract to provide systems enhancements to the Veterans Affairs Department.

The award calls for Harris to upgrade the following six core financial and administrative legacy systems in the Veterans Health Administration: X12, Fee Basis Purchased Care, Credentialing and Privileging Enhancements, ICD-10 Encounter Forms, Occupational Health & Safety Management Information System, and Revenue Operations, according to a Sept. 22 Harris announcement.

The program is part of the VA's Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) contract vehicle, which covers services designed to streamline and modernize VA operations, including patient care delivery at more than 150 VA hospitals.

The task order is the first for Harris as part of the T4 contracting vehicle, the announcement said.

Harris’ subcontractor partners include: CGI Federal, 7 Delta, abcISP, Doma Vector, Four Points Technologies, Halfaker and Associates, and Paragon TEC.

Harris Corp., of Melbourne, Fla., ranks No. 13 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
