Raytheon TCS hires professional services veteran for VP slot

Christopher Sciortino will lead Certification and Accreditation unit

Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions, a Raytheon Co. subsidiary, has hired Christopher Sciortino as vice president of professional services.

He will direct the organization as it focuses on architecting and implementing complex high-assurance and cross-domain solutions for government and industry.

Sciortino also will oversee a highly skilled Certification and Accreditation unit to ensure solutions meet mission objectives and conform to or exceed government information assurance requirements.

Sciortino has more than 22 years of experience leading large-scale system implementation teams, with a strong background in strategic planning, process implementation and improvement.

He has held leadership positions at several large solutions companies, including BMC Software, Computer Associates and HandySoft Global Corp.

“Adding Sciortino to our leadership team will further strengthen RTCS’ ability to deliver enterprise-level cross-domain implementations in North America and around the world,” said Ed Hammersla, RTCS' chief operating officer.

Raytheon Co., of Waltham, Mass., ranks No. 4 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
