Iron Bow Technologies will install a new network infrastructure for the Social Security Administration under a blanket purchase agreement valued at $120 million.

The contract, which has a two-year, nine-month work period, calls for Iron Bow to provide SSA with a Cisco Systems network infrastructure and related support services, according to an announcement the company made today.

The contractor said it will upgrade older hardware and give SSA the opportunity to reconfigure and optimize its network infrastructure, resulting in a network that better enables information sharing and is prepared for the future adoption of advanced collaboration technologies.

The installation will save the agency millions of dollars by delivering cutting-edge technologies that operate faster and with greater energy efficiency, the announcement said.
