Who are the top women in technology?

The professional group, Women in Technology, honored 18 people for their work as mentors, role models and business leaders.

Women in Technology honored 18 professionals for their role in the Washington area’s technology community.

This is the 12th year the group has recognized achievements by women in the technology field.

“In the twelve years this award has been around, technology has changed our world dramatically. It is not only the engineers and scientists who are making an impact on technology, it is also the enablers of technology – healthcare providers, law enforcement, universities, government organizations, and more,” said Nanci Schimizzi, president of WIT.

The awards recognize women who have acted as mentors, leaders and role models in their companies and communities.
