Camber acquisition strengthens cybersecurity offerings
Camber Corp. has acquired EADS North America Defense Security and Systems Solutions Inc., a provider of cybersecurity, IT and secure satellite communications services to the Defense Department. Financial terms were not reported.

Camber’s acquisition of DS3 further deepens its National Security Group’s cybersecurity support and services because DS3 has developed an ability to combine its cybersecurity services with an innovative suite of proprietary network simulators and emulation software, according to a company announcement dated May 19.
DS3’s customers include the Air Force, Navy, Strategic Command, National Guard Bureau, Veterans Affairs Department, Defense Contracting Management Agency and commercial satellite companies.
This is third acquisition in the past two years by Camber, of Huntsville, Ala. It acquired Veritas Analytics and i2S in 2009, according to the announcement.
Previously a subsidiary of EADS North America, EADS NA Security and Systems Solutions, of San Antonio, was founded in April 1997 as a unit of Access Research Corp.
In an interview last year with Washington Technology Editor Nick Wakeman, Camber Chairman and CEO Walter Batson said the company would reach $1 billion in revenue within five years.
