Lockheed unit names acting chief as president and CEO

William Clark has been serving as acting CEO at Savi since February

William Clark has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Savi Technology, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corp., according to an April 26 company announcement.

Clark, who joined Savi in August 2010 as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, has been serving as acting CEO since February 2011, during which time he orchestrated several important changes within the organization.

Those changes include reorganizing the management team, strengthening ties within Lockheed Martin and recently introducing Savi SmartChain RTLS, a wireless tracking option to monitor and track critical assets, the announcement said.

Clark has more than 25 years of experience in a variety of sales and marketing leadership roles in the technology field, including more than 12 years as a chief marketing officer and executive officer of several global technology companies in Silicon Valley and on the East Coast.

Savi Technology provides low-power, wireless asset tracking solutions, particularly to the Defense Department and military forces worldwide.

Lockheed Martin, of Bethesda, Md., ranks No. 1 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
