20 capture $1B Justice IT prize

The contract has one base-year and six one-year options. Each prime contractor is guaranteed $50,000 in business under the contract. ITSS IV will primarily be used to augment the Justice Department’s IT staff in areas such as systems development, service operations, management, IT planning, program management support, requirements analysis and applications development. According to the market research firm Input $710 million worth of task orders went through ITSS III. Keane Inc., which was not listed among the winners of ITSS IV, received the most task orders under the old contract, with $ 214 million in task orders, according to Input. The second highest total went to SRA with $160.6 million in task orders.

Another billion-dollar baby has hit the market. This time it’s the Justice Department awarding 20 companies a piece of a $1 billion contract to provide a wide range of IT services.

The IT Support Services IV contract replaces ITSS III, which is set to expire by Sept. 30.
