CSC takes on immigrant visa support services in Mexico
Task order includes biometrics collection
Computer Sciences Corp. will help secure the U.S.-Mexico border as a result of a new six-year State Department task order that has an estimated value of $115 million.
The award from State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs calls for CSC to provide non-immigrant visa support services in Mexico, the company announced today.
Under the terms of the task order, CSC will provide non-immigrant visa support services, including information, appointments, fee collection, document delivery, greeter and offsite biometric collection in Mexico.
Non-immigrant visas are for citizens of other countries coming into the United States temporarily; immigrant visas are for those seeking to move permanently to the U.S., the statement explained.
The task order was awarded under the Global Support Strategy for Overseas Consular Services contract, an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract CSC won in March 2010.
CSC said it plans to continue to compete for task orders around the world to provide a range of visa-related support services for U.S. embassies and consulates.
CSC, of Falls Church, Va., ranks No. 10 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
