SAIC names new manager of health solutions business

Stephen Comber has been business unit’s deputy general manager since 2007

Stephen Comber was named general manager of Science Applications International Corp.’s Health Solutions business unit Oct. 1.

He will report to Joe Craver, president of SAIC’s Infrastructure, Energy, Health and Product Solutions Group.

Comber will be responsible for developing, managing and growing SAIC’s work for federal government and commercial customers, including the Defense, Health and Human Services, and Veterans Affairs departments, according to an SAIC statement released today.

Comber has served as the business unit’s deputy general manager since 2007.

SAIC’s Health Solutions business unit, which includes more than 1,900 employees in 41 states and 11 countries, provides a wide range of services and solutions in the areas of clinical health information technology, health infrastructure, health care quality and cost, public health, and health sciences.

Since joining SAIC in 1985, Comber has served in a variety of executive positions, including contract, business operations and project management roles.

SAIC of McLean, Va., ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
