Harris will boost DISA information-sharing technology
Contractor will provide systems and network engineering and other key support services
Harris Corp. will provide systems engineering to the Defense Information Systems Agency under a five-year contract that has a potential value of $27 million.
The award calls for Harris to provide systems and network engineering and other key support services to DISA’s Multinational Information Sharing (MNIS) Program Management Office.
MNIS is a consolidated approach to ensuring seamless information sharing among U.S. armed forces, their allies and coalition partners, Harris executives said.
In addition to network and systems engineering, Harris will also provide program management, acquisition, configuration management and strategic planning support.
For the past seven years, the company has provided systems engineering and integration services to the MNIS Program Management Office and its predecessor, the Advanced Information Technology Services–Joint Program Office.
Harris is the sole subcontractor to EDS Corp., a Hewlett-Packard company, on the MNIS Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance contract, which was awarded under Encore II.
