DRC to provide training assistance to DHS
Dynamics Research Corp. will provide specialized training services to the Homeland Security Department under a five-year contract that has an initial value of $11.5 million.
Under the terms of the contract, DRC will develop functional Web-based training courseware and other training services to meet the training and simulation needs of DHS’ Office of Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine.
DRC will work with CBP A&M to implement, expand and maintain its OpSTAR network, which DRC designed and developed to meet the training, distribution and tracking needs of the National Air Training Center, company officials said. DRC also will provide flight training support, tactical scenario-based instruction and other related training needs.
CBP A&M law enforcement air force is charged with protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure through the use of air and marine forces stationed at U.S. borders.
To be successful, CBP A&M must ensure that the National Air Training Center has the necessary resources to provide the highest level of simulation and training to the organization’s more than 700 pilots, the officials said.
The contract has one base year and four option years.
