Guident to help DHS track projects

Guident Technologies Inc. will deploy an investment management and tracking system at the Homeland Security Department under a two-year contract worth $2.5 million.

The departmentwide decision support system is known as the System for Management Analyses and Resource Tracking. It will improve visibility, reporting and oversight of major investment projects, including information technology upgrades and new systems and applications, company officials said.

According to the contract, Guident will help to plan, design, test and implement the support tool with the Office of the Chief Information Officer.

The new system will assist in the re-engineering of the investment review process and ensure that governance policies are effectively represented, Suneet Gupta, executive vice president at Guident, said in a news release.

Guident is a certified small business based in Herndon, Va.
