Lockheed snares RLM Holdings

Lockheed Martin Corp. has completed its purchase of RLM Holdings Pty. Ltd., a provider of radar, integration, systems engineering and logistics management services.

Extending its presence in Australia, Lockheed Martin Corp. announced it has completed the purchase of RLM Holdings Pty. Ltd., a provider of radar, integration, systems engineering and logistics management services headquartered in Adelaide. Terms were not disclosed.

RLM was founded in 1997 as a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Tenix Group. RLM manages the Jindalee Operational Radar Network, an over-the-horizon radar network that can detect ships and aircraft from long range. Lockheed Martin Australia Pty Ltd. will manage RLM in coordination with Lockheed Martin Electronic Systems, based in Bethesda, Md.

Lockheed Martin ranks No. 1 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
