Ellis coordinated the development of "The Practical
Guide to Federal Service-Oriented Architecture" for
American Council for Technology/Industry Advisory
Council to support the CIO Council. The guide is the
foundation for SOA adoption across the federal
government.

His other accomplishments include work at the
Library of Congress to develop a storage reference
architecture to manage the storage requirements
for the library's growing digital collections. Ellis also
supported the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's
e-government efforts.

As director of federal services for Everware-CBDI,
Ellis is responsible for bringing the company's service
architecture and engineering methodology to
the federal government.
