Vehicle information network

The Alaska Transportation Department wants a contractor
to provide a vehicle information system. A
request for proposals is expected in August.

The department wants a contractor to furnish a
system that would help the state improve the
integrity of stored data,
reduce staff training time and
provide a platform that
employees can easily reconfigure to adjust to mission
goals without outside technical assistance.

911 emergency services

Texas' Commission on State Emergency Communications
wants a contractor to provide a nextgeneration
911 emergency services system. A
request for proposals is
expected in September.

The contractor would be
required to assist with the conversion of an older
analog system to a new digital system that would
be implemented statewide in phases.

Records management system

The Montana Department of Administration's
General Services Division wants a contractor to provide
a records management system. A request for
proposals is expected in October.

The contractor would be responsible for developing
and implementing a centralized
records management
system for the Montana
Revenue Department, which is responsible for the
administration, security and confidentiality of state
tax documentation.

Customer information system

Long Beach, Calif., wants a contractor to provide a
customer information billing system. A request for
proposals is expected in September.

The contractor would be required to replace the
city's existing customer utility billing system with a
modern customer information
system that provides electronic
billing, offers self-service
features and handles conservation incentives that
are part of the billing process.
