Navy seeks enterprise logistics application

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command wants input from the private sector on how to develop an enterprise application that would support all or a significant portion of the defense acquisition and logistics operation.

Specifically, the command wants an application capable of managing and tracking mission requirements. The application also should address planning, programming and budgeting at the program management level for defense cycles.

The request for information is intended to get vendors to conduct a self-assessment of their ability to satisfy these requirements. When responding, vendors should be prepared to conduct a systems demonstration to prove their capabilities, present a sustainable methodology and submit a rough cost estimate. Responses are due May 23.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command helps ensure the combat-readiness of Navy and Marine Corps forces deployed worldwide. It is responsible for constructing sustainable and adaptable facilities and supporting expeditionary efforts.
