Bids and proposals

Radio communications system

Orange County, Va., is seeking a contractor to provide
an interoperable radio
communications system for
public safety agencies. A
request for proposals is expected in October.

The radio communications system should cover
95 percent of the county and provide coverage for
all base locations and fire stations. The contractor
also should identify ways to improve cell phone and
wireless broadband coverage throughout the county
and identify optimum locations for antenna support
structures.

Medicaid eligibility system

The Colorado Health Care Policy and Financing
Department is looking for a contractor to redesign
the eligibility and enrollment system that handles
Medicaid and the children's health plan. A request
for proposals is expected in
October.

The department wants a
single system for determining eligibility and
performing enrollment operations for both
plans.

System requirements include electronic document
management, workflow process management
and a customer contact center.
