New execs are here, there, everywhere

Federal contractors named new executives to focus narrowly, more broadly and as widely as possible.

At Boeing Co., Daniel Korte took over as program manager of the SBInet border surveillance system, an $8 billion Homeland Security Department contract. Korte replaces Jerry McElwee, who will remain at Boeing's Integrated Defense Systems unit and help in the transition.

Broadening the scope, Dennis Stolkey looks nationwide in his slot as EDS Corp.'s new vice president and general manager of the company's U.S. government unit.

Stolkey succeeds Jim Duffey, who takes on leadership at the
company's Global Supply Chain Management organization.

Even wider is former Air Force Gen. Charles Wald's purview at L-3 Communications Inc. Wald is the new corporate vice president of the company's international business endeavors. And coming full circle back to a single focus, Gino Malatesta takes on the new position of corporate vice president of planning, charged with managing L-3's internal financial planning, forecasting and analysis.
