Automated child welfare

The Office of Information Services within the Oregon Human Services Department wants a contractor to provide a new statewide automated child welfare system. A request for proposal is expected in April.

The current system has three components: a family and child information system, integrated information system and adoption recruitment management system.

Wireless assistance needed

The Wisconsin Administration Department wants a contractor to provide wireless services. A request for proposals is expected in April.

The state intends to merge its separate cellular voice-only and BlackBerry contracts into one wireless voice and data contract. The state wishes to award a statewide contract to a single primary and single secondary vendor, but reserves the right to award contracts to multiple vendors.

Employment tracking system

The Florida Revenue Department wants a contractor to provide a reporting system through which businesses in the state report new hires. A request for proposals is expected in April.

State law requires employers to report newly hired or rehired employees to a state directory within 20 days of their hire date. The reporting speeds up the child support withholding, expedites collection of child support, and quickly locates fathers to help in establishing paternity and child support orders.

These opportunities are compiled by Federal Sources Inc., a market research firm in McLean, Va.
