On the edge

Know your network and feel good

The new version of Insightix Ltd.'s network access control solution offers a straightforward approach for implementing a complete and real-time network access control policy across the enterprise network, company officials said.

Insightix NAC 3.0 provides network coverage by discovering in real time a comprehensive inventory of all elements connected to the network and their associated properties.

With this information, IT professionals can baseline their network and authorize the devices that are allowed on the network. The product does real-time element detection and authorization enforcement, denying connectivity to any unauthorized device.

Paying for higher education is fun

Datatel Inc. and ELM Resources Inc. have released Secure Federal Family Education Loan Program Data Exchange, a new product developed to automate the loan data transfer process.

Datatel and ELM offer an automated loan transfer processing system for higher education.

The Secure FFELP Data Exchange product will automate exchange of FFELP loan data between institutions and ELM, eliminating the need to push or pull data from data exchange partners. Accurate loan transactions are vital to higher education institutions, as students on financial aid are the lifeblood of each institution's enrollment rate.

Products help assure information

Communications Supply Corp. launched a new initiative called Secure(it), focused on developing products and solutions for high-assurance facilities, secure network deployments and information assurance applications.

Secure(it) aligns closely with the Defense Department's Defense-in-Depth strategy and the increased focus on information assurance and cybersecurity.

Communications Supply has assembled a solution set to help customers address information assurance and secure network deployment requirements and manage the cost, complexity and security of high-assurance networks and facilities.

The product solutions in support of this initiative include structured cabling and connectivity products designed for high-assurance network deployments or multiple classification areas.
