Workforce development system

The South Carolina Commerce Department wants a contractor to provide a workforce development system that facilitates job recruitment and placement. A request for proposals is expected in mid-2007.

The Web-based, centralized system envisioned by the agency would let users search by geographic area for qualified workers. The contractor should suggest creative funding methods, incorporate user input in system design and transition seamlessly from current systems to a shared system.

Eligibility overhaul for Mont.

The Montana Public Heath and Human Services Department may want a contractor to build a new eligibility system for its Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program. An RFP is expected in spring or summer 2007. The system should handle eligibility determination, benefits authorization and case management.

Project management help needed

Washington state's Transportation Department wants a contractor to provide a project management and reporting system. An RFP is expected in the first quarter of 2007.

The contractor should provide a system that would help the department oversee a $7 billion capital construction program to improve highways, ferries and various multimodal transportation projects.

Records management system

The Independent School District of Fort Worth, Texas, wants a contractor to provide a records management system. An RFP is expected mid-2007. The school district needs a centralized system with ample capacity to serve future records management needs.

Calif. county has tax job

The Purchasing Department of Riverside County, Calif., wants a contractor to implement a new property tax management system. An RFP is expected before year's end. The contractor will need to design, develop and implement a system that meets the needs of multiple record-keeping offices.
