Massachusetts changes identity

The Massachusetts Health and Human Services Executive Office wants a contractor to provide identity management services. A request for proposals is expected in October. The current service is based on Sun Corp.'s Java Enterprise System 3.X. Bidders may propose a JES-based solution or a different one.

Ky. wants wireless support

The Kentucky Technology Office wants one or more contractors to furnish wireless equipment and services. An RFP is expected in October or November.

The agency earlier this year solicited vendor input, which will be used to develop one or more solicitations. The new contract will support Kentucky's public safety, law enforcement, and health and human services agencies, which are under contract with Cingular Wireless LLC.

N.Y. needs electronic case system

The New York Temporary and Disability Assistance Office wants a contractor to implement an electronic case folder system as part of a human services modernization initiative. An RFP is expected in November or December.

The initiative is to upgrade the tools and business processes with which several agencies deliver benefits to New York's low-income residents. The electronic case folder project is the first part of the modernization initiative.

South Carolina seeks VoIP

The South Carolina Information Technology Management Office wants a contractor to furnish voice over IP equipment and services through a statewide contract. An RFP is expected in October or November. The contractor should offer a variety of solutions to meet individual agency needs.

Maryland goes desktop shopping

The Maryland Budget and Management Department wants a contractor to deliver desktop PCs and other items as part of its 2020 Desktop initiative. An RFP is expected in November. The contract covers desktop and notebook PCs, servers, printers and commercial software.
