SAIC buys GeoViz.com
Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego has completed its purchase of GeoViz.com Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
GeoViz's strength in command, control, communications and computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance will dovetail with SAIC's expertise in service-oriented architectures, an SAIC spokesman said. GeoViz.com employees will continue working at the company's Campbell, Calif., engineering facility, offering tools, service and support for customers.
EFJ buys 3e Technologies
EFJ Inc. of Irving, Texas, has acquired 3e Technologies International Inc., a wireless security company, for $36 million in cash.
Acquisition of the Rockville, Md., company gives EFJ a portfolio of secure wireless products for public safety and public service.
3eTI also develops secure wireless infrastructure that meets federal information processing and wireless networking standards.
Argon buys wireless comm biz
Argon ST Inc. has acquired wireless military communications provider San Diego Research Center Inc. for $41 million in cash.
Management and engineering teams at San Diego Research and Argon ST in the past year have collaborated on several proposals and contracts.
Argon ST of Fairfax, Va., offers systems and sensors for the command and control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance markets.
JDA closes Manugistics buy
JDA Software Group Inc. has completed its $213 million cash purchase of supply-chain and revenue management software seller Manugistics Group Inc., Rockville, Md.
JDA will apply Manugistics' capabilities immediately to its commercial sector business, and will carefully review the government, aerospace and defense markets to determine its long-term strategy, said Hamish Brewer, CEO of Scottsdale, Ariz., JDA Software.
