Online procurement in Cleveland

The Cleveland Finance Department wants a contractor to build a Web-based procurement system that is compatible with PeopleSoft programs. A request for proposals is expected in late 2006.

The contractor should tailor the system to support procurement policies and program requirements as established by the city, as well as meet the city's needs for data collection and management reporting.

Wash. court case management

The Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts is looking for a contractor to build a court case management system. An RFP is expected this summer. The case management system will be a key part of an integrated justice system.

Iowa needs licensing

The Iowa Natural Resources Department is seeking a contractor to develop and implement an electronic licensing system. An RFP is expected this summer.

The contractor will develop hardware and software and perform user training and maintenance services. The system should include real-time sales, help-desk services, database query and search mechanisms, record storage, revenue collection and remote access.

Health info system in Maryland

The Maryland Health and Mental Hygiene Department is contemplating hiring a contractor to deploy a health information system. An RFP is expected in 2008.

Maryland has established a task force to study increased use of electronic health records in the state. The task force will explore electronic transfer and prescribing, computerized physician order entry and effects on school health records and patient safety.

New York seeks VoIP

The New York Technology Office wants a contractor to deliver voice over IP services. An RFP is expected this summer.

The state wants to replace outdated equipment before the hardware reaches the end of its life and support issues arise. The VoIP solution is intended to reduce costs, simplify system administration and offer the latest technology.
