PanAmSat's subsidiary, G2 Satellite Solutions in Washington, is working with the Freedom Calls Foundation (www.freedomcalls.org) to connect troops and their families with a network of satellite-based videoconferencing, telephone and Internet access.  More than 40,000 soldiers and Marines stationed in the Middle East use the service for free. Here, a mother shows off her new baby. The network also lets troops participate in milestone events such as births, birthdays, weddings and graduations. It will soon be expanded to include installations at U.S. military hospitals.
