N.Y. eyes cash management

The New York State Office of Mental Health wants a contractor to supply software for patient trust fund and related accounting systems. A request for proposal is expected in April. The agency wants to standardize systems and procedures for handling cash and associated transactions and to replace the mainframe software.

Automated child welfare

The Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and their Families plans to release a solicitation in January for the next generation of its statewide, automated child welfare information system, the Family and Children Tracking System II. The contractor will develop a case management and workflow system that supports a "system of care" in which the mental health needs of children and families are met in their homes, schools and communities.

Kentucky needs tax system

The Kentucky Revenue Cabinet wants a contractor to implement a comprehensive tax system to increase collections and consolidate administrative tasks. An RFP is expected in the spring.

Street scheme do-over

The District of Columbia Transportation Department wants a contractor to provide a street inventory system as part of a larger effort to modernize the department's IT infrastructure and asset management system. An RFP is expected in first quarter of next year.

The contractor will reconstruct the city's street inventory system using technologies such as relational database management, geographic information system software, and enterprise system integration and component-based development technology.

Collect-call phone system

The Florida Juvenile Justice Department wants a contractor to offer a revenue-generating, collect-call telephone system and handle hardware installation, design, programming, administration, repair and maintenance services associated with it. An RFP is expected in the first quarter of next year.
