ACS unloads its welfare-to-workforce line

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. of Dallas sold its $200 million-a-year welfare-to-workforce services to Arbor E&T LLC for an undisclosed sum in a deal expected to close in January.

ACS State and Local Solutions acquired the welfare-to-workforce services in its 2001 purchase of Lockheed Martin IMS.

Arbor E&T of Media, Pa., is a subsidiary of Res-Care Inc. of Louisville, Ky., a human-services training company.

SRA finishes buy of Spectrum Solutions

SRA International Inc. completed its acquisition of Vienna, Va.-based Spectrum Solutions Group Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SRA of Fairfax, Va., last month had signed a definitive agreement to acquire the provider of enterprise solutions to the federal government.

Federal customers of Spectrum, which generated about $15 million over the past year, include the Health and Human Services and Homeland Security departments.

Manatron picks up Plexis Group

Manatron Inc. acquired for $1 million in cash Plexis Group LLC of Indianapolis, a software and support services provider.

The Kalamazoo, Mich., company paid $600,000 at closing and will pay $400,000 with interest via a promissory note over two years.

The acquisition of the Indianapolis software company brings to Manatron new customers and significantly expands its customer base with Indiana local government.
